Why this module exists Modules 2 through 5 treat data collection as an event: you upload a recording, you send a survey, you code what came back. Real studies rarely stop there. Participants keep talking — in voice interviews, in uploaded clips, in links they send you — and the honest version of your findings is the one that keeps up. A multi-modal continuous survey is the same research question asked across every channel a participant might use, feeding one coded frame that never closes. Audio interviews get diarized and transcribed. Video — uploaded or linked from YouTube — gets analyzed without leaving its source. Text responses land beside them. Everything is coded with the same codebook, lands in the same datasets, and every chart bound to those datasets updates itself. What you will do In this module you will wire an intake that accepts voice, video, links, and text; route each modality through transcription or native video analysis; code the results into a shared theme frame; and publish visualizations that stay current as new responses arrive. The working example is real: a coded corpus built from a US Senate hearing and six conference panels, with live datasets you can inspect.
