The Codex command line adds the server with one line: codex mcp add dataspheres --url https://dataspheres.ai/mcp The same thing can be written as two lines in Codex's configuration file, ~/.codex/config.toml : [mcp_servers.dataspheres] url = "https://dataspheres.ai/mcp" Recent versions of Codex run the sign-in themselves, the same way the other assistants do. On an older version that cannot, create an API key on the Keys tab of the Developer Portal and give it to Codex as a bearer token. An API key carries the same role checks as a sign-in, so the limits described in module 1 still apply.
